Following an earlier leak of the name “Assassin's Creed Mirage” and a few details, Ubisoft has now confirmed at least some of the leak is true. Images of the what seems to be cover art was leaked to Twitter a few days and Ubisoft began to copyright strike the images.
While Ubisoft was originally trying to take down the leaked images, it seems to have just accepted the fact the everyone knows the game exists now. The company has officially revealed on Twitter that the next Assassin's Creed game will be Mirage.
From the image provided on Twitter by Ubisoft, it looks like Assassin's Creed Mirage will be taking players to the middle east. At first glance it appears to be India and the main character is wearing the classic assassin shroud, complete with the assassin gauntlet and blade.
We'll be getting our first real look at the new game during the Ubisoft Forward event on September 10th next week. The event will be livestreamed online at 9pm CEST | 12pm PT next weekend.
