News Bit: Sony acquires studio created by Assassin's Creed Co-creator

Haven Studios was formed in March 2021 by industry veteran Jade Raymond where it quickly caught the eye of Sony. PlayStation invested money into the company and it began working on an exclusive new IP the PlayStation consoles. Unsurprisingly, Sony has now acquired Haven Studios.

Making the announcement on the official PlayStation Blog, it was confirmed that Sony has been working with Haven Studios since the start. They were “inspired by Haven's vision of creating a modern multiplayer experience” and Sony was “confident” in the studio.

The two companies have worked closely together over the past year and almost on the anniversary of their relationship, Sony has acquired Haven Studios. The new studio will be able to work with some of the most well-known developments teams in the world to continue creating this new IP exclusive for PlayStation.

More news about the upcoming new IP for PlayStation will be coming from Haven Studios in the future.
