News Bit: Ubisoft announces NFTs then delists the video

Ubisoft Quartz was recently announced with a YouTube trailer but gamers haven't been happy with it. The newly announced Ubisoft Quartz platform was supposed to be Ubisoft's way of introducing NFTs into its games. The NFTs are being called “Digits” and are being first introduced to the PC version of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint which allows players to collect Digits in the form of in-game vehicles, weapons and equipment.

The plan was hit with overwhelming backlash with a dislike ratio of over 90% on the video. The response has been so negative that Ubisoft quickly delisted the video on YouTube. Delisting it means that only those with a direct link can still access it. Such as us:

One of the highlighted cosmetics in the video was a uniquely numbered helmet with a special serial number. Users can sell their Digits and purchase new ones while also being able to see some of their past sale history.
