News Bit: Sony increasing the prices of PS5

It has been announced that the cost of PlayStation 5 will increase in markets outside the USA.

This is being blamed on current economic troubles and inflation. This is despite Sony having announced record profits from the console.

Microsoft has confirmed with Windows Central that they have no plans to increase the prices of their own console.

The price here in the UK will be up by £30.

This is disappointing news for anyone still looking to pick up a PS5. It seems particularly annoying that despite inflation being a global issue, the price in the USA isn’t changing, which happens to be the only market where Sony doesn’t have a comfortable lead over its main rival.
