E3 2021 Day 2 Recap

It's Day 2 of E3 2021 and the announcements just keep on coming. If you missed E3 2021 Day 1 then you can check out our article here for the best announcements of the day.

Xbox + Bethesda

Starfield gets a Release Date

Todd Howard took to the stage to begin the conference with a bang. A new trailer for Starfield was revealed including some alpha in-game footage and an actual release date. Starfield will be launching on 11.11.22 and you can read all about it here.

STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl

A new trailer for the latest STALKER game was revealed at E3 and included four minutes of gameplay along with the release date. STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl will release on April 22 2022.


We didn't get too much information on this from the event but Contrabrand is the newest game from the Just Cause team. It's a co-op open-world game set in a fictional 1970's. More news will come in the future.

Battlefield 2042 Gameplay Reveal

As promised, gameplay for the upcoming Battlefield game was shown at E3. It's out first chance to see what the game looks like in action and the gameplay trailer included several moments from the reveal trailer too.

Twelve Minutes Release Date Confirmed

First announced in 2019, Twelve Minutes has returned with a new trailer and a release date. Fior more information, take a look here.

Psychonauts 2

Double Fine included Psychonauts 2 in the Xbox-Bethesda showcase and as a expected, it looks pretty crazy. The game will be available for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X when it releases on August 25th 2021.

Diablo 2: Resurrected gets a Release Date

Not only is there a remaster for one of the most beloved games of all time, it has a multiplayer beta coming too! We'll be able to test the multiplayer in August and the full release will be coming on September 23rd for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Sereis X.

Slime Rancher 2 Revealed

In a surprise announcement, Slime Rancher 2 is coming! Players will return to the Far, Far Range with Beatrix LeBeau and plenty of new slimes to discover. Slime Rancher 2 will be releasing in 2022.

Atomic Heart

Atomic Heart was unveiled at E3 but we don't have much detail on it yet. The trailer shows a first-person game, set in a fictional Soviet Union and plenty of insanity.

The Outer Worlds 2 Revealed

With yet another surprise reveal, The Outer Worlds 2 was announced at the event with a selfaware trailer. It's too soon for a release date but at least we know it will get a PC and Xbox release.

Forza Horizon 5 Announced with a Gameplay Demo and a Release Date

While we knew a new Forza would be coming relatively soon, Xbox kicked it into overdrive with a full gameplay section too. Forza Horizon 5 will take place in a detailed recreation of Mexico and the gameplay showed off different aspects of the game. It will release for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC on November 9th 2021.

Gameplay Demo:


The final announcement for the event was a brand new IP from Arkane Studios. It was teased earlier in the event when someone wore a “Bite Back” t-shirt. The new game is a co-op shooter set in an open-world with a human versus vampires theme. You can get more information on the game here.

Halo Infinite

Naturally, we got a good look at the upcoming Halo game as well. Halo Infinite will have a free-to-play multiplayer mode along with a full story campaign. The game will release in the 2021 holiday season so we can expect more news to come soon.

Future Games Show


A new game was announced at the event which doesn't give too much away yet. Check out our full article here.

Grow: Song of the Evertree

A world-crafting sandbox game that includes both adventure and life management. The trailer we saw at the show gave us a glimpse of how players can grow their own world and nuture it.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 – First Look at the Gameplay and Species

Species Field Guide:

The Future Games Show gave us our first look at the gameplay and revealed some of the species that will be included in the game. It's not much but it's definitely enough to keep us interested.

Sonic Colors: Ultimate – Gameplay Reveal


We were shown the Tropical Resort Act 2 at the Future Games Show for the upcomimg Sonic game that's reelasing this year. Sonic Colors: Ultimate is the remastered version of the 201 Sonic Colors game and it will be releasing September 7th 2021 for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.


Not much was revealed about the game but considering it's being created by the team behind Her Story and Telling Lies, this is sure to be an interesting one.
