With the arrival of the new expeditions with the Pitt DLC for Fallout 76, many players are wondering what is the best way to go about completing this content and how to make it a more efficient process. So here I will go over my top 5 tips for tackling the DLC.
1. Hand in all the Refuge daily quests at once
The worst part about beginning the expeditions is the lead-up to doing it where you have to first charge up a battery for using the vertibird to get to the Pitt itself. So this tip is simple, collect all the daily refuge quests you can at once, and once you’ve finished the steps for all of them then you hand them all into the respective quest giver. This will make it so you’re not just going back and forth just to start the DLC and will save you several minutes which for some people is needed.
2. Use atoms or complete challenges to reach the Auto-Ax ASAP
A bizarre choice on Bethesda's part was to make the recipe for the new weapon that the pitt is known for, the “Auto-Ax” locked behind the scoreboard; basically, a season pass for Fallout 76. Whilst this is unfortunate and it also means you won’t be able to sell the Auto-Ax if you want to get it then you will have to just complete the challenges the game gives you. Fortunately for you since the expansion has just begun pretty much all of the challenges are focused around the enemies in the pitt, and on top of that it’s pretty early on in the season pass. The alternative, if you’ve been stocking up on atom points just skip ahead the tiers and have fun with the best two-handed weapon around.
3. Collect Metal Scrap During the Expedition
In the Expedition Union Dues in the Pitt one of the most common optional objectives is to collect 5 metal scraps from around the area. But even if your team leader hasn’t picked this objective up yet, you are still able to find the metal scrap in various locations. So to save time make sure you pick up the scrap when you see it.
4. Pick up Zeta Invaders in Union Dues
One particular item that not many people have found in the Pitt is the holotape game “Zeta Invaders” before entering the foundry, searching the buildings for a locked level 3 terminal will get you this holotape game, feel free to eject it and sell it for a big profit whilst the expansion is still young.
5. Complete all Optional Objectives
The more optional objectives you complete the better the reward is, so it is recommended that before leaving the expedition hand in all optional objectives. Just make sure that you don’t do it before they’re all completed otherwise you run the risk of failing one of the defence-based ones. It’ll be more efficient to hand them all in at the end anyway.
