News Bit: Konami might be working on new games for Silent Hill, Castlevania and Metal Gear

According to a report from VideoGameChronicle, Konami is working on new titles for some of the most beloved franchises. Their sources are anonymous and claim that Konami is preparing to make new instalments for each franchise.

According to their sources, Metal Gear is being worked on by Virtuous who contributed to various other games such as The Last of Us Part 2 and Devil May Cry. In addition to this, Konami is reportedly planning to release remasters of the original games ahead of the main series revival.

A new Castlevania is also coming and is being developed by Konami in Japan with support from “local external studios”. In addition to this, “multiple Silent Hill games are currently in development” at different external studios.

Konami is planning to have a public showcase next year according to the sources. We should be hearing news about some of these projects within the next 12 months.
