News Bit: GoldenEye 007 trademark has been renewed

It's been previously reported by Jeff Grubb that an HD remaster for GoldenEye 007 will be announced very soon. According to him, Microsoft will be announcing the remake instead of Nintendo who originally published the game.

A new report from VGC states that Danjaq, LLC, the holding company for many elements of the James Bond franchise has been granted a second trademark extension. Permission for this extension was confirmed on March 15th in several classifications.

However, it's now being speculated that the expected GoldenEye 007 HD remaster has been delayed due to the heavy soviet themes in the original game. This is due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine which has led to multiple delays in the gaming industry.

Currently, a GoldenEye 007 remaster has not been officially confirmed and the existence of one is still only a rumour. This speculation is being backed up by various known information leakers in the industry.
