Sony has decided it's time for a rebrand on Steam ahead of the eventual release of more first-party games on the PC platforms. Originally called PlayStation Mobile, Sony has decided it needed a better name to reflect its new position on PC gaming. The new name for Sony on PC brand has been rather aptly named PlayStation PC.
Initially spotted by a Reddit user, this news is coming shortly after the news that God of War is coming to PC. The God of War port was previously leaked by GeForce Now in addition to various other unannounced games. Sackboy: A Big Adventure was also found on SteamDB after the GeForce Now leak.
It looks like Sony is becoming much more serious about PC gaming and the official PlayStation Studios Steam group now lists 50 games on the platform. Based on this, we can expect Sony to be announcing more PlayStation ports in the near future.
