Jeff Grubb is known for leaking information from the games industry which is later confirmed and he recently provided some details for the next Far Cry game. The Far Cry creative director Dan Hay is leaving Ubisoft and Grubb had something to say. According to him, Hay was overseeing the next Far Cry fame which is being planned as a live service game.
He commented that the next game in the series is “intended as a Far Cry live-service project similar to Assassin's Creed Infinity”. Official details on the next Assassin's Creed are incredibly limited but live service games don't have a very good reputations.
Rumours for AC Infinity suggest the game will be live service in a style similar to the recent Hitman games where short stories for assassins are added over time. Grubb seems to think the next Far Cry game will be a similar live-action game to the next Assassin's Creed title.
