News Bit: Xbox Console Prices will not be Increasing any time soon

Xbox CEO Phill Spencer has announced that the company has no intention to increase the price of its Xbox consoles. Speaking with CNBC, Spencer assures gamers that they have “no plans today to raise the price” of Xbox consoles.

This has come shortly after the news that Sony has announced a console price increase for the PlayStation 5 across Europe and the UK, Australia, Japan, and most of North America. Sony blamed the “high global inflation rates” for this issue but assured US gamers that the price wouldn't increase for them. Spencer was asked about plans for Xbox pricing during his CNBC interview due to the recent Sony announcement.

Spencer comments that “in a time when our customers are more economically challenged and uncertain than ever, we don't think it's the right move for us at this point to be raising prices on our console”. Gamers have naturally, responded very positively to his comments.
