Norman Reedus has confirmed that Death Stranding 2 is in early development. The sequel has not been officially announced yet by Kojima Productions, but Reedus spoke a little about it to the digital publication Leo Edit. He claims that work has begun on the next game.
Reedus told the publication that they "just started the second one". He didn't have much to say about the upcoming sequel, but he did explain how he got involved with the franchise. He states that Guillermo Del Toro reached out to him and said, "there's a guy named Hideo Kojima, he's gonna call you, just say yes". Reedus goes on to say that he was "completely blown away" when he saw Silent Hill but doesn't reveal why he stuck around to work on Death Stranding.
There have been rumours about a sequel for Death Stranding ever since the first game was released into the world. Reedus has just confirmed that Kojima is working on a brand new game. It's going to be quite some time before we learn more about the game, but at least it's been confirmed now.
