Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was expected to release later this year but Ubisoft has officially delayed the game out of 2022. The announcement didn't specify the exact reason for the delay but has commented that they are dedicated to delivering “a cutting-edge immersive experience” using the technologies available for current generation consoles.
Ubisoft has announced that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be released during the company's 2023-2024 fiscal year instead. This means it should release sometime between April 2023 – April 2024. Originally the plan was to release the game around the same time as the cinema release of Avatar: The Way of Water.
This isn't the only game that's been delayed. Ubisoft also confirms a “smaller unannounced premium game” has been delayed from a 2022-2023 release into a 2023-2024 title as well. Ubisoft has also cancelled Ghost Recon Frontline, Splinter Cell VR and two unannounced projects.
