CD Projekt Red has officially confirmed the updated timeline for the awaited expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. While the studio is also working on a new Witcher game, the long-awaited expansion is still in active development.
During the studio's latest earnings call, President and joint CEO Adam Kicinski stated that "support for Cyberpunk will continue". He confirmed the studio's focus by saying that "right now, the bulk of our teams are working on the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion that is targeted to be released in 2023". Eventually, they will "gradually shift to new exciting endeavours" for Cyberpunk and The Witcher franchises. Kicinski didn't reveal much about the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 expansion during the earnings call and didn't reveal any new details about it. The 2023 release date is only being targeted, which means it could be pushed further back if needed. Hopefully, we will start to learn more about the expansion soon.
