News Bit: Mortal Kombat 12 was probably leaked intentionally by the developer
Mortal Kombat 12 has been leaked to be in development at NetherRealm Studios by a senior production manager at the development studio. Jonathan Andersen recently posted an image on Twitter of multiple Mortal Kombat artwork prints on the desk with the computer turned on. The monitors show some rather interesting stuff.
In the corner of the image, we can see a file called “MK12_Mast...” on the computer and on the other monitor is an internal email. The email is mostly unreadable but we can see a line that says “take extra care with this material” and there's also a comment about fans of the series in there. It's unlikely this was accidental and the fact it was deleted after only ten minutes does seem to confirm it.
Naturally, fans have saved the image and are carefully going over it for additional information about the next Mortal Kombat game. NetherRealm Studios ended development for Mortal Kombat 11 last year so a new game announcement this year is quite likely.
