Dark Souls Online Servers are not coming back

Nine months ago, the online services for the entire Dark Souls series were taken offline due to a serious security exploit. Dark Souls 3 was patched and the servers were brought back online three months ago but From Software has finally provided news about the other games. From Software has announced that the servers for Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin is back online. While the base version of Dark Souls 2 is still offline, the team expects to fix the issues “at a later date”. Sadly, it looks like the PC version of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition won't be coming back. Posting to Twitter. FromSoftware states that it's not possible to fix the problem for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition “due to an aging system”. This is sad news for this version of the game but the team is working on the restoration of the Dark Souls Remastered online servers.
