The LittleBigPlanet server and online services has now been permanently shut down for most of the series. Posting the announcement on Twitter, the LittleBigPlanet team has released a service update. The response to the news on Twitter has been very mixed so far.
The good news is the LittleBigPlanet server is online for PlayStation 4 with the launch of Game Update 1.27 which means the 10,000,000+ community levels are also staying. Sadly, the same cannot be said for the other games in the popular series.
The online services for these games are being permanently shut down:
• LittleBigPlanet
• LittleBigPLanet 2
• LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS3)
• LittleBigPlanet PS Vita
This announcement has come after a period of extended downtime for the LittleBigPlanet servers which the team wanted to apologise for. LittleBigPlanet 3 on PlayStation 4 has escaped the shutdown and will remain online.
