News Bit: New World has been full released and it's still bricking some GPUs

Amazon's MMORPG New World has finally released after a somewhat rough beta where players were reporting the death of their GPUs from trying to play the game. Although Amazon did release a fix for the problem then, it seems like there is still a problem.

Players have been reporting problems playing the game which are causing GPU crashes and in some cases, killing the GPU. The most reported cards seems to be the EVGA RTX 3090 FTW Ultra and Gigabyte RTX 3080 Ti. PC Gamer has received multiple reports as well including one that running New World causes a potentially fatal error to their RTX 3070 Alienware laptop.

Popular tech YouTuber JayzTwoCents has also uploaded a video warning players about the issue. He also speculates about the protential causes of the problem which might be damaging certain GPUs.

So far, Amazon has not commented on the new wave of problems caused by playing New World.

But luckily, Amazon just happens to sell GPUs ;)
